Settling into a place of peace

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

Come into a place of peace and settle into the Divine knowing that all is right with the world in this now moment.  Breathe down into that deep pool of peace and contentment that anchors you into YOU.

So often we are waylaid with the perceived blocks to our own openness to receive.  So much to move towards and through – ever moving forward yet those barriers crop up.  Do we move through or stop dead in our tracks.

Light beckons from deep within – a welcoming beacon calling you home to the heart – the essence of the Soul.  Open, expansive, unfettered by the mere presence of illusionary barriers here to test you to move beyond your Ego consciousness and into a higher way of being….aligned with the essence of you.

Look beyond what you see with your eyes to that which you seek within, all the while sensing it is not out there in the great beyond but here, in the centre of the Soul.  If we do not go within, we will surely go without.  The power you crave is at your fingertips – just reach for it and then accept it as it filters through.

See within oh weary traveller.  A new dawn awaits the discovery of the newness you seek, the essence that shines from the depths of the Soul.  Open to receive and allow the newness to take root – a memory of other times when you truly honoured all that you are and all that you have ever been.  The time is now.  The power is you.

Open the door to your Soul and meet the YOU you are currently seeking.

Accessing the World Within

I just received the best article from DAILY OM on the benefits of Guided Meditation and wanted to share it with you all.  Being a Guided Visualization Meditation facilitator, it is gratifying to see how others appreciate and articulate the myriad benefits that come out of following such a practice.

There are many Meditation practices and the benefits are truly transformative.  There are also many people seeking a way to connect to that still deep place within.  Having all of these options assures that you are able to find the practice that works best for you.

Guided Visualizations have proven to be the best tool for me and my particular path in life.  I wish you well as you come to the understanding as to which option works best for YOU at this time.

Namaste

Accessing the World Within

Guided Meditation

A guided meditation uses the sound of a person’s voice to direct you through an inner process of relaxing your body and shifting your mind’s focus. The voice may be a person in the room with you or a recording—even something downloaded from the internet—and it is generally spoken in soothing, soft tones. You may be guided to focus on aspects of your physical body, such as on your breathing, relaxing your muscles one-by-one, or on an area in need of healing.  Sometimes it might involve

visualizing a journey through the beauty of the natural world.  Other times, you maybe led to envision yourself working with light or energy, accomplishing your goals, or repeating positive thoughts in your head. Your guide may walk you through relaxation or motivation to help you change a habit, access untapped potential, or perhaps merely to find the silence within you.

Whether you are familiar with meditation or you are a beginner, being guided gives you the opportunity to benefit from the insight of others. There are numerous meditation and visualization techniques based in various spiritual philosophies and psychological applications. You may want to try several techniques to see what appeals to you the most, or just to gain a fresh perspective.

Guided meditation allows you to learn from others in a way that is similar to ones used by ancients the world over. Once learned, meditation is a tool that will always be available to you. Like having a tour guide while traveling in a foreign country, a guided meditation takes you on an inner journey.  But this tour allows you to see and experience your own inner world, a place that truly only exists within you. The scenes created in your mind’s eye can be revisited at anytime, without a guide, because once you have seen the fascinating landscape of your own inner terrain, there will always be more to explor

Being enough

Monday, October 5th, 2009

So many Souls spend their entire life trying to be enough, never really believing that they are.  That is a scary thought.

What is it within us that thinks that we need to be more or do more without ever fully realizing what we already have within us?  There is a thought pulsating throughout humanity that if we can just do something else, be someone else – that everything will finally be all right.

Rushing through our lives we never fully stop to anchor into what it is that we truly are.  And what would that be?  A Soul – simply navigating through this earthbound reality.  So many illusions present themselves to us on a daily basis and we seem to get caught up in what we see with our human eyes but there is so much more beyond the veils of illusion.

I have a very close friend who, for all intents and purposes, looks like she has it all.  A beautiful home that is warm and inviting.  A retirement income that most of us would give our eye teeth for.  Many friends all over the world and a very strong sense of purpose in helping others less fortunate but still, she is dissatisfied with her lot in life.  She admitted to me rather sheepishly that she is not doing what she wants with her life.  She is still tied to performing for others needing the recognition that comes with her noble deeds.  Yet it is not enough for her.

She has let her creative side lapse and laments that there is not enough time in her day to do all that she wants to do for her.  I frequently mention that all she has to do is learn to say no to all that call to her for her expertise and wisdom, allowing her to finally delve into what it is that she truly wants to be doing at this time in her life.  She retired from a very intense career within the government over 5 years ago but finds that she has no time to persue her own interests.  The idea of simply getting up in the morning and allowing her day to unfold with nothing pressing upon her from the outside world is a scary thought yet still she craves some down time.

So many of us still feel that our time is not our own and that we have to do for others with our time being eaten up with chores and meetings that do nothing to fulfill us in the here and now.  Why is that?

We have been brought up in a world that says that if we are not constantly out there that somehow the world will pass us by.  The illusion that we get caught up in warps our sense of self.  The idea of simply being who we are on the level of the Soul eludes us.  And yet, it is simply a choice that we make on a daily basis.  So if our lives are not what we choose, then choose again.  Decide to do what calls to us from our heart and let that be enough.

We are enough and it is time to accept that and then allow the Universe to show us the way to our own personal fulfillment.  Sometimes we just have to let go of the life that we have planned to allow the life that is waiting for us to arrive.

Stop for long enough to listen to what calls to you from your Soul.  She/He knows what is right…what is around the corner waiting to be discovered.

It is enough to be YOU just the way you are.  Settle in to that thought and watch what comes through the veils of your own personal illusion.  Relax and open to the best that you are.  Have faith in your own abilities to endure and rise above your preconceived limitations.

You are enough.
